Dr. Sandra GrossettDr. Sandra Grossett graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Pre-Medical studies in 1988 and went on to successfully complete her education, earning her Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1992.  Dr. Grossett also trained at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia in pediatrics to include binocular evaluations on children aging 6 months to 15 years of age and worked in several settings including the Quantico Naval Medical Clinic where emergency medical eye care and problem-oriented primary care were emphasized.

Prior to opening Eyes In The ‘Burg, Dr. Grossett practiced in the Fredericksburg area for seventeen years, as well as the Warrenton, Richmond and Culpeper areas offering comprehensive eye care to include pre and post-operative cataract care, emergency eye care, low vision evaluations as well as a wide variety of contact lens fittings.  During this time, Dr. Grossett developed an interest in the care and fitting of Keratoconic patients and continues to work to expand this area of her practice.  Her extensive experience in the field of Optometry and personal uncompromising commitment to patient care has made her one of the leading Eye Doctors in the Fredericksburg region.

Dr. Grossett is a member of the Optometric Nutrition Society and emphasizes the importance of nutrient-dense foods along with quality supplements for optimal health and disease prevention.  She is also an active member of the Battlefield Optometric Society, the Virginia Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Grossett volunteers her time to provide eye care to needy residents as well as supporting area non-profit organizations such as Empowerhouse, the Thurman Brisben Center, Friends of the Rapphannock and the SPCA.

In her free time Dr. Grossett travels with her husband.  They are avid SCUBA divers and outdoors oriented people who enjoy exploring, hiking, and biking.
