COVID 19 Update from Eyes In The Burg

We are working hard to get back in the office and start to see YOU, our patients! We are so excited to get back to doing what we love, even if it’s going to look a little different. We wanted to tell you about some of the things we have been working on during this time and some changes we are making to our practice in order to keep both our patients and staff safe.

We have increased our cleaning and sanitation measures in the office. In order to allow adequate time for these increased measures, as well as follow social distancing guidelines, we will be decreasing our patient load throughout the day and moving to a more concierge style schedule. This means if you do not have an appointment we ask that you call us so we may arrange to assist you when it is safest for you and our staff. We have implemented a no visitor policy and the only exceptions will be for minor children or patients needing physical assistance. Visitors will be limited to 1 for these exceptions.

We will be checking the temperatures of our staff and patients as they arrive. Anyone with a temperature over 100 will not be permitted into the building. We will also be asking screening questions as we schedule and confirm your appointment. As always, if you are sick or not feeling well, please call our office ASAP to reschedule.

We will also be following the guidelines set forth by the CDC, AOA, and VOA by requiring all staff and patients to wear a face mask in the office at all times.

We will now be scheduling our patients for eyeglass dispensing, adjustments and repair. Please call the office before coming in, so we can make sure that we can take care of you efficiently and safely.

If you need products such as contact lenses, vitamins or drops, please call our office and we will arrange for contact-less pickup.

With these new and increased safety precautions in place, we have found it more difficult to answer the phones safely. If we do not answer when you call, please leave a detailed message and we will get back to you as quickly as possible or by the end of the business day.

We are excited to see you in our office and appreciate your understanding of this new normal we all find ourselves experiencing. We have always taken great pride in our welcoming environment for our patients and are striving to maintain that while keeping everyone safe.

Thank you so much for your continued support of our small business!!
