Keratoconus Specialty Contact Lenses

Keratoconus is a condition in which there is a progressive thinning of the cornea in one or both eyes that cause the cornea to become cone shaped. The cause of the condition is not clearly known. Due to the irregular shape of the cornea, specialty contact lenses are typically prescribed to allow the best possible vision for the patient, which can no longer be achieved with eyeglasses.
